This is a nice and peaceful RV park. Far enough off the beaten path and close enough to civilization (shopping). Not the easiest to maneuver a large rig but doable. Tree branches over roadways should be trimmed. I hit many on the way out. We would stay here again.

The office is rarely ever open. There is always a yellow sticky note on the door that reads, "Ran an errand. Be right back." So if you want to pick up mail or need to speak to the office about anything, forget it.

Save yourself the hassle and money, find a better park down the road! This place caters to the imbred, drugged out, hateful, trashy full timers and could careless about any outsiders that are passing through.

My wife, 2 year old, and I bought a camper to save money for a house and Monte Ne RV Park was the best place to spend the year and a half it took to save the money for our beautiful new home. Amazing woods scenery with private cove to beaver lake that has great bass, catfish, and crappie fishing! We truly enjoyed our stay at Monte Ne Rv park. Thank you Debbie, Bob, and Stevie!

Debbie, the front office lady, is a real hateful witch, as well as their "maintenance man" that drives a loud, old, white 80s Ford truck or so he's called. He screamed and yelled at our kids and when we approached him about it he blantanly told us, "I work here and I can." Umm no sir, if you have a problem with MY children then you come to ME! I expressed my concerns to Debbie and she was less than professional in her response. My children even cleaned up tons of trash at their trashy lakefront area and were always helping out around this campground. This park has their full timers who live here (which you can clearly tell who they are by their trashy rvs) and they cater to them. They do not care about people who come and don't plan on staying here forever.

First I'd like to say the good. Debbie the manager was very friendly and accommodating. We called the night before on our way up from Crater of Diamonds State Park and she had a spot for us. I'd like to say that we appreciated that. However, the place in general is run down. There are many campers that live there full time and you get the feeling that you are being watched and not welcome. The full time person that was parked next to us came over and asked if I had a cigarette. I don't smoke, therefore I didn't have one to give. You just had the feeling you were camping in skid row. We stayed 2 nights and were ready to leave. We ended up going down the road and camped at the Army Corps of engineers campground. Great place and clean! And cheaper!

Beware of the drug dealings going on throughout the park. The cops are constantly on patrol throughout the park. This park clearly has its fair share of illegal activity going on throughout it.

Management is very friendly and always helpful. It is a beautiful area next to Beaver Lake. There is next to no crime in the area, but having said that make sure you lock your vehicle and trailer when leaving it. There were a few people that lost some personal belongings, while I was there, including a few rifles. The bathrooms are not cleaned so bring your own cleaner. Lastly, insure you have a surge protector for your RV. While I was there they were having issues with the electric boxes, and a few tv's blew up and some RV's electrical systems were damaged. Overall though its cheaper and better then any other campground in the area.

Now let's talk about their washers, dryers and showers. The washers do not clean your clothes. The full timers who live there are allowed to wash all their nasty dog bedding and leave all kinds of nasty debris in the machines. The dryers take 3 cycles to get your clothes even close to dry. Don't waste your time using these old, ragged and wirthless 1980s machines. The showers stay clogged up. So if you plan on trying to take a shower, plan on standing in your own dirty water because they do not drain.
