Have been going to the Mill for over 20yrs and always a treat, just enjoy the day with the family and maybe get a gift or two. Look at the mill work or take a stroll next to the creek. There is a trail, short but nice and great for pets to let loose. Dont miss the Fair sometime in the Fall. If you like fishing bring a pole and try your luck bring a kid its lots of fun. If you like let me know, i always have.
The mill used to be a lot more of an enjoyable place to visit. The new owners took a lot of the old time charm out of the mill by redoing the three levels. The bread mixes used to come into old time flour sacks now they come in regular bags. The character and charm is gone. The samples are gone always enjoyed the samples of the jellies and dips
This is a cool place with a lot of history. They sell biscuit mixes and other foods, have a gift shop, and a restaurant up stairs. We have eaten breakfast there a few times and it was always good. The mill is very scenic as well as the old bridge across war eagle creek.
This was a great experience for the family and kids. A actual working mill - WOW! Walked in and the mill was grinding away and there were many milled items you could buy to cook with. We bought some grains. There were many other local food items like jams, jellies, and spices for sale.
On the third floor, there's a restaurant. Had not idea it was up there until I followed my kids up the stairs. Fun place with lots to see and do. Very historic and offers a learning experience, too.
This mill is powered by and undershot water wheel.
Cool place to visit. Impressive steel bridge across the creek.
Go up to the second floor and you'll hear the mill squeaking through the floorboards. There are some antiques and other local items for sale here.
