Over a year ago, I was in the market for a vet for my elderly cat. After seeing all of the 5 star reviews on Google, I chose Animal Medical Center. I was somewhat impressed with my first visit, and I was told to bring my cat back for a follow-up in a couple of months, and I wouldn't be charged for the follow-up exam, just for any tests that might need to be run. A few days after my first visit, I got a pretty good idea of why this clinic had so many good reviews; I received a letter in the mail, thanking me for coming in, and offering $10.00 off any further treatment if I left a review on Google. I have seen enough reviews on enough web-sites to know that MOST people that are given some type of incentive for leaving a review are going to leave a positive review. (One major on-line retailer has come under criticism for the same type thing.) Anyway, that just really rubbed me the wrong way, considering I made my decision on where to take my cat based on Google reviews. I have waited over a year to leave my review, because I wanted no part of that incentive, even though I am poor. It's the principle of the thing. To make matters worse, I was charged over $80 for the follow up exam and a nail trim for my cat. So much for the no-charge follow-up. Not cool!!!
This was absolutely the best place I have been for a small pet clinic. My Bailey is usually not very receptive to new people being that he is older but there was no hesitation on his part. The vet was friendly, kind, and gave several suggestions that would benefit him. No pushing for every single possible test under the sun and the pricing was more than reasonable. I am grateful for selecting the doc. The reviews were 100% correct!!!!

Wow! From the very first call to Animal Medical Center my wife and I have been thoroughly impressed! After a VERY bad experience with another veterinary clinic in the area we knew we needed someone reputable to provide a thorough checkup for our newest family member and Dr Dickey and his team blew our expectations away! This team is not only knowledgeable and thorough, but you can tell that they actually care about your pet and your patronage. The care is compassionate and patient and the prices are a fraction of many of the other clinics in the area. Chase was even able to fit us in for an urgent appointment only HOURS from the time we called! If you are new to the area, or looking for a new vet, look no further! Go see the team at Animal Medical Center! (There's a reason they have all 5 star ratings!) Thanks to the team our sweet fur baby is finally starting to eat and perk up again after several days of extremely worrisome behavior. The medications prescribed where exactly what she needed and I know if I have to call over there with any further questions I can expect the same expert care over the phone as in the office! Dr. Dickey and his staff are the best! I wish my Westie had been under their care and expertise all her life. The animal clinic I had previously been taking her never diagnosed her with congestive heart failure. Suspecting she had that disease, I decided to get a second opinion at Animal Medical Center. Our beloved Maddie was more at ease there than she had ever been at any other clinic. Dr. Dickey's treatment of her heart disease made her comfortable, improving the quality of her life, and gave us more time with her. He was always available to talk when I called. He and his staff are caring and attentive. They are knowledgeable and professional, yet kind and empathetic. His staff always scheduled her first thing, the morning I called, if she needed more immediate attention. We knew she was in the best care. There is no one comparable! Dr. Dickey & his staff are like a family who immediately make you and your family feel right at home. During this time that we are grieving for our sweet Maddie, we are comforted by the fact that the love and nurturing we always gave her was also happily given to her by Dr. Dickey & his team.
