Its a good place to shop. Has a large variety. The cool things are the appliances. The same suppliers for Home Depot and JCPenny for appliances.
The store is all right but the SALON is horrible! I had the worst experience ever. Went in to get my hair colored, the girl I was scheduled with didn't even know.. but she went ahead and took me in. So I ended up getting bright orange HOT ROOTS. she tried to fix it but there wasn't enough time, for the other stylist didn't show up, and her clients were waiting. I went home, called back to see when I'd be able to come in to get my roots fixed, I was told I'd had to wait a few days. I ended up going to another salon and paid $85, to have the roots fixed( they were orange, it was so embarrassing to go out) Finally I went back in to the salon after a few days for the girl to finally fix it for free. For the orange roots were still slightly noticeable even after going to the other salon. It was way too much stress and hassle for a simple hair color!! I don't blame the stylist so much but the overall management is just ridiculous.
I went to Penney's for Black Friday this year after seeing several of their amazing deals online. I did not read closely enough to see that the prices are after mail in rebate but since I had already braved the crowds to get the product off the shelf, I went ahead and bought several kitchen items. I filled out all of the forms and mailed them off. I bought these items as gifts for others. They marked my refund as invalid because I did not mail the UPC from the box, which was never asked for on the forms by the way. I explained that the items are gifts but I could give pictures or even just the numbers themselves. The first representative refused to assist me at all and said to contact someone in 2 hours. The second representative said without the UPC numbers (which I offered to give) he couldn't help me. Naturally, I asked to speak to a manager. I was given a phone number to call and wait on hold for AN HOUR AND A HALF!! Is this what JC Penney's consider good customer service? I have shopped here often but had never had a reason to contact customer service before. Now that I have, I have reconsidered frequenting this establishment. I will conduct business elsewhere in future.
Poor customer service. Can not get anyone on the phone to help answer a question in the department I needed. Even the operator could not get anyone to answer the phone. If they could simply confirm they had what I needed then I would have drove there and bought it! Luckily another dept store told me they had what I wanted and would set it back for me to come pick up.
If you are looking for big and tall, go somewhere else. Looking for pleated front pants and they don't have any. If you need flat front pants, which big and tall men usually do not, they have over 50 pairs. If they are wondering why these don't sell, that's because flat front isn't for everyone. Also, service is abissmal. I don't want to be talked down to by an 18 year old.
