The medication he prescribed me was low dose to start with, and he listened to my complaints about side affects and offered solutions, and an alternative medication. He also told me that I could start even lower by breaking the pills apart to allow me to go even lower if I wanted/didn't need as much. This allowed me to manage my need from day-to-day while still under the guidance of a professional. So the claim of the negative reviewer about a high dose right off the bat for a drug you would start low on is exactly the OPPOSITE experience I had!
Honestly don't know how all these people even get in to see him for any real issues. I was really excited and eager to make an appointment with him after reading all these great reviews. when I called, the first thing i was told right off the bat is that they don't file insurance. Then she told me I had to go online and fill out the questionnaire then Dr. Tate will review it and they will call me. I filled out the questionnaire telling them I needed to be seen for depression, anxiety and weight loss.They called me the next day and said Dr. Tate Is no longer seeing patients for depression or anxiety but i do qualify for 1 to 2 months of phentermine and that's it. also the charge for me to come in is $280!!! yea.. real helpful. so disappointed..
Dr. Tate sounds very knowledgable. He listened really well and seemed to know what he was talking about. I only gave him 4 stars because his diagnosis was fairly quick. I would have like to share more with him, but he seemed pretty confident, so we'll see how the new plan works! Thank you Dr. Tate!
Dr Tate was so kind,I was diagnosed with add or adhd as a child kept getting on and off meds he explained that if I would stay on my meds I would be better I always thought I was stupid he told me no your not he went out of his way helping me to be safe with my meds I've never had a dr do so much for me I loved him he's the best Dr I ever seen and I worked with a lot of Dr's he just gives a 110 percent you can tell he really cares and his staff cares to they were all personal I felt like he was my friend thank you the office is beautiful and clean Thank you Dr Tate and Staff I owe you my life
Dr Tate spent quite a long time speaking with me and disvusdin my issue. The medication dosage was appropriate and helped me focus on what I was doing.
As for the negative reviewer, I agree with Dr. Tate's response. This does not sound like him. We had quite a long conversation which was much longer than 15 minutes, and I am not dealing with nearly as many issues as that reviewer was. I find it difficult to believe he would act in that manner!
Dr. Tate is a good Dr. and knows quite a bit about adult ADHD. I have gone my entire life suffering from ADHD, but because I am a high-performing student no one ever assumed there was a problem. Well the problem manifests as severe anxiety due to a lack of ability to manage my time well. I therefore end up spending 2-3 times longer on any particular task or assignment that any normal person spends. This is frustrating at best on most days, and debilitating at worst on other days. While I cannot afford to see Dr. Tate any longer, I would recommend him to those who can.
